"The HCPTA is unique in that they truly offer something for all levels of
HR professional. From my personal experience, the HCPTA is an extremely
supportive organisation for networking and personal development.

At Four Seasons, we are honoured to have celebrated and been recognised
for some of our successes at the Annual HCPTA Awards."

Emma Jayne, Director of Human Resources

"Being a member of the HCPTA has given myself and my team a great opportunity to meet, network and share ideas with other like minded industry people.

The group works hard to introduce members to new ideas and best practise across the industry

The HCPTA awards area a key part of the industry calendar. Having won two in the same year they were the catalyst that helped us realise we were doing great things as a company and spurred us on to help us get to where we are today

I fully support the work HCPTA does and wish them continued success in the future"

Sean Wheeler, Group Director of People Development
Hotel du Vin & Malmaison

"I have been a member of the HCPTA for as long as I have worked in the world of learning & development in hotels. I was also HCPTA Chair for 7 years. The HCPTA has a wonderful way of bringing industry people together at interesting & useful events & also celebrates talent within our fabulous industry at the annual HCPTA Awards for Excellence"

Fiona Rassell FIH - Managing Director
STORM Training & Development

"The HCPTA has been a fundamental part of my journey in the HR World providing a foundation for networking and sharing of best practices within the industry. The organisation has supported young HR and Training professionals and continues to open opportunities for these people to grow and meet others in the field.

As a member I have become a mentor for young HR Professionals and this has brought great satisfaction. Being a member is guaranteed to be fun and enables you to become involved in an organisation that gives so much human support and professional development."

Ann Whelan, Director of Human Resources
Jumeirah Carlton Tower & Jumeirah Lowndes Hotel

"In 1996 I returned to the UK from overseas and was lucky enough to be introduced to the Forum known as the HCPTA. It was through this organisation that I made friends and networked with like minded people in the HR and Training fields of our industry helping me to settle back into the UK and giving me much needed information at my finger tips. HR can, at times, be a lonely place to be and it was through this organisation that I found support and knowledge throughout my career in HR in London. I was flattered and honoured to have been asked to become the Chair in 2003 and served the organisation until handing over the chalice to Carl Smith in 2008. During this time we strove to make the organisation more business aware, grow the membership and to meet the needs of our members. Our most challenging moment was on the Awards night July 2006 when there was a bomb scare in London , would people still attend? - HR and Training people are tough and not even a bomb threat would keep them away from an Awards evening - full attendance and a fantastic evening!

Now many years on the HCPTA is moving on in its life, yet still represents best practice in our industry and it is with delight that I have the pleasure of continuing my support during its rebranding, growth and links with Caterer.com, whose support over the years we could not have done without. I admit to having struggled on many occasions to explain to people what HCPTA actually meant and it was always rather a mouthful so I am even more delighted to congratulate Carl and the Committee on the new name and branding of ‘HR in Hospitality' and what a fabulous and useful new website! Well done everybody and every good wish for the future!"
